What's happening?

During the month of May, we're launching a new Emergency section in the Bandwidth Dashboard with some new functionality. With this, you’ll be able to manage all things related to your emergency services. You’ll notice this section sports a new orange motif to help you know you’re working on highly sensitive content.

What do I need to know?

The Emergency section will support the following 911 features:

  • Individual and Bulk Provisioning: During a 911 call, your users’ registered street address is passed along to the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). Our new Emergency section allows you to manage 911 addresses individually or in bulk.
  • Hosted 911: Now you can add non-Bandwidth phone numbers as 911 endpoints to the Bandwidth Dashboard. That means that you can offer Bandwidth Emergency services to your customers without porting your number.

Note: The E911 caller name and geolocation information for a phone number will still be displayed on the Phone Number Details page. Managing these settings will now be done under this new section.
