What's happening?

AT&T has increased their 10DLC MMS throughput for some campaign classes on their current 10DLC platform from 50 Transactions Per Minute (TPM) to the TPMs outlined below.

AT&T 10DLC Classes

Standard Message Class Class Description MMS TPM
A Russell 3000 Companies 2,400
B Russell 3000 Companies 2,400
C Large Business 1,200
D Large Business 1,200
S Social Engagement 2,400
K Election Campaigns 2,400
X Emergency Services / Public Safety 2,400
P Charitable Non-profit 1,200

For information on all campaign classes, please refer to our AT&T 10DLC support page.

What do I need to know?

Historically, AT&T limited sending over 10DLC MMS to 50 transactions per minute, requiring customers to allocate multiple telephone numbers (TNs) in order to get their campaign’s designated throughput.

On October 11, 2023, AT&T made a change to its system that allows customers to send MMS messages at their designated throughput. This will be limited to the following campaign classes: A, B, C, D, S, K, X, and P. The remaining classes will still be restricted to 50 TPM.

This means that if a campaign with class K (for example), needs to send MMS, they will be able to send it at the designated 2,400 TPM as opposed to the previous limit of 50 TPM.

What do I need to do?

Please remove any limitations that restrict MMS sending to AT&T to 50 TPM. Additionally, you should remove any excess TNs on a campaign that are no longer needed to get the desired throughput.
