Bandwidth now supports messaging 988 for suicide prevention in Canada

What's happening?
Beginning November 30, 2023, Bandwidth will support SMS messaging to the Canadian 988 Suicide Crisis Helpline, when texting from Canadian telephone numbers.
What do I need to know?
The Canadian 988 Suicide and Crisis Helpline provides 24/7 free and confidential support for people in distress as well as prevention and crisis resources.
As with our United States offering launched in 2022, any Bandwidth messaging-enabled long code is capable of sending SMS to 988. Please note that sending MMS to 988 is not possible at this time.
