Format of Lithuania national calls changing on March 1

Ashley

Updated

What's happening?

Effective March 1, 2025, Lithuania is changing its calling format to begin with zero (0) instead of eight (8).

What do I need to know?

All national calls in Lithuania must begin with a 0 following this change.

International calls and national calls sent in E164 format are not impacted by this change, as the leading digit is dropped from these calls.

What do I need to do?

If you are making a national call in Lithuania, you will need to use a 0 as the first digit rather than an 8 beginning March 1.
