Porting LOAs

Hamzah Jamil

A Letter of Authorization (LOA) grants legal authority to an individual or business entity to act on behalf of another person or entity to carry out a specific action or set of actions. When it comes to number porting, LOAs help Bandwidth make sure that phone numbers aren't moving between carriers without permission from the authorized user.

If you’re a direct customer of Bandwidth, we'll provide you with tailored LOAs to use when working with us to port numbers to our network. If you're a reseller, please use the following templates and adjust your branding as you see fit.

Although we don't always ask to see an LOA, we require our customers to have it on file for all port-in orders. If we do request to see it, you must provide it to us within one business hour.
