API No. The message content is not stored All media, whether uploaded or from incoming MMS, are stored for 48 hours unless you delete them sooner.
SMPP No. The message content is stored only for the duration of time till it’s sent successfully to downstream carriers. If unsuccessful, the message content is deleted.
