Will Bandwidth resize or transcode images and video for MMS messaging?

For long code (LC) MMS, Bandwidth will resize images and video. We do our best to transcode files to carrier acceptable limits but recommend you only send messages that are no larger than 500KB to ensure the best chance of delivery. If you send us messages that are larger than the allowable size, you'll receive an error code 4411: Combined size of media too large.

For toll-free (TF) MMS, Bandwidth won't attempt to resize or transcode the files. If you send us messages that are larger than the allowable size, you'll also receive an error code 4411: Combined size of media too large.
