What self-guided training is available in the Bandwidth Dashboard?

Suzanna Reid

The Bandwidth Learning Lab contains a library of step-by-step guides that explain how to navigate the Bandwidth Dashboard. These embedded tutorials walk you through both the essential tasks that you'll complete as part of your onboarding process, like creating a Sub-account or a Location, as well as those you may find yourself doing on an everyday basis, such as submitting port orders or updating phone number line features.

Where do I find the Bandwidth Learning Lab guides?

  1. Log into the Bandwidth Dashboard.
  2. Click Learning Lab & Support in the right corner of the top navigation bar.
  3. Under Bandwidth Learning Lab, select Onboarding Guides or Everyday Guides.
  4. Click on any guide from the list to begin the step-by-step walkthrough.

What Onboarding Guides are available?

Create a Sub-Account

Sub-Accounts help organize your phone number inventory to make grouping services a little easier. Think of your account as a filing cabinet, these are the drawers. You’re free to organize based on customer, end-user, geographical location, or another preferred method.

Create an Application (Voice and Messaging APIs)

The Application is where you set your webhook (callback) URLs so Bandwidth can make an HTTP request to your endpoint whenever a Voice or Messaging event takes place.

Create a Location

You'll create new Locations to organize your phone number inventory and configure your routing settings for Voice and Messaging.

Order New Phone Numbers

In this lesson, you'll learn how to order one or more phone numbers. With augmented searching, a shopping cart, advanced filtering, and the ability to span multiple search criteria in a single order, we think you’ll be faster than ever at ordering numbers.

What Advanced Guides are available?

Submit a Port

Porting can be complicated, which is why Bandwidth is here to help. In this lesson, you'll learn porting best practices, how to increase your likelihood of getting your preferred FOC, the difference between a partial port and a full port, how to use our Customer Activation feature, and more!
