We appreciate all of the participants who asked detailed questions during our recent webinar. We’re providing this summary of questions and answers from the live event, along with some helpful support article links, so that everyone has access to the content.

Are there any changes to the way I export reports out of the Bandwidth Dashboard? Can I still upload .csv files using the same template for things like line feature imports, etc?

All data reporting functionality will remain the same, including file exports, accepted file types, and import templates.

What’s the fastest way to get a question answered in real time about the new version?

If you have a question about the New version, simply submit a ticket or give us a call on our support line at 855-864-7776!

Will any of my API tokens and secrets be affected when I switch from Classic to New?

No. All token and secret combinations will remain the same in the New experience.

When will the Classic version stop working?

We’re rolling out the permanent new experience to customers starting in March 2020. You’ll be notified when your ability to switch back to Classic will be removed.

What happens if I switch to the New version but there’s a bug?

If you run into unexpected behavior in the New experience, please use the Feedback button to notify us of the issue with as much detail as possible. If the issue prevents you from being able to work, you can switch back to the Classic experience. We’ll work to resolve the bug and notify you when there’s a fix in place.

When I upload a document to a port order, do I still need to notify the Bandwidth team that a document has been uploaded?

As best practice, whenever you attach a document to your order, please place a note in the order to alert the Bandwidth agent working on it that you’ve done so. Whenever a member of the Bandwidth porting team attaches documents to your order, we’ll do the same!

When will I be able to change the quantity of porting numbers, instead of canceling the PON and creating a new one?

We are actively in conversation with customers about their needs for this set of features. If you are interested in learning more or participating, let us know via the Feedback button (include your contact info & a brief note about your interest).

I noticed a few new fields related to CNAM and Location. Has the API already changed to include the additional fields?

All features in the Bandwidth Dashboard are available via the APIs. Our developer documentation can be found here

When I submit feedback or feature requests through the Dashboard’s Feedback button, will I receive updates from Bandwidth?

We take all user feedback into consideration as we continue to make improvements to our product. Be sure to include your email when leaving feedback and we may reach out if it’s relevant to a theme we’re focusing on. While we may not always respond back to you directly, you’ll be notified when a new feature is coming to the Dashboard.

We recently had issues on the beta when looking at the details of some port orders. The page shows an error message of "There was an error loading this page" and stops working until I refresh the browser. Has this issue been fixed?

This issue has been resolved. If you continue having this issue, please open a support ticket

How soon after submitting an order can I make adjustments to my order ID for tracking purposes?

You may make adjustments to the Customer Order ID after submission, however as best practice we recommend that you wait until the order is in an “exception” status and not in a “submitted” status in order to avoid sending multiple LSRs to the losing carrier. If you continue having this issue please, open a support ticket

Have you considered adjusting the colors of notifications on the porting page to differentiate between internal notes, external notes, and order history updates?

Yes. We’re working on improvements to this experience, which will be released in the Dashboard before the switcher is removed.

How do we request early access to new features?

We love to hear when users are interested in being part of our Beta testing programs. If you’d like to test out new features, send us a message via the Feedback button. Please be sure to include your email address.

Can you please demo downloading Statement BDRs for the prior month (February 2020)?

Sure! Here’s a great support article on this topic. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your Bandwidth Support Team by opening a ticket or calling 855-864-7776!

Will I be able to see new functionality around SMS deliverability, such as real-time CDRs or DLRs by carrier?

We’re actively in conversations with customers about their needs for this set of features. If you’re interested in learning more or participating, let us know by submitting your contact information via the Feedback button.
