TextNow A2P surcharges

What's happening?

Beginning August 1, 2021, TextNow will add a mandatory surcharge on A2P long code and toll-free (TF) messaging traffic inbound to their network/subscribers. These new surcharges will show up on your September 7th invoice from Bandwidth for TextNow usage in August. Below are the surcharges.

  • SMS: $0.002 per message
  • MMS: $0.002 per message
  • TF SMS: $0.0015 per message
  • TF MMS: $0.002 per message

What do I need to know?

In case you’re not familiar, TextNow is a medium-sized wireless provider with a focus on WiFi-based texting. You don’t have to take any action in response to this notification. These new surcharges will automatically be added to future Bandwidth invoices for messages sent to the TextNow network.
